Latvian national Janis Balodis, 41, was found unresponsive at a property in Arderry, between Ballinamore and Carrigallen, on the night of 11 June. He was subsequently pronounced dead.
Polish national Bartosz Cylka, whose address is listed as Arderry, Corrawaleen, has been charged with his murder. Cylka is due to participate in today's proceedings by videolink.
The case was last heard at Carrick-on-Shannon District Court, where Judge Eiteáin Cunningham adjourned it to today's sitting in Sligo. At that hearing, Cunningham remanded Cylka in custody, certified the need for a Polish interpreter and granted legal aid. She also directed that he receive any required medical treatment.
