According to radiokerry.ie, the trial of three people charged with the murder of Gerard Kennelly is under way this week at the Central Criminal Court, which is sitting in Limerick.

Kennelly, a father-of-one aged in his 30s, was found with fatal injuries in Knockanure village in the early hours of 27 May 2024.

The three accused are Kieran Brady, aged in his 30s, of Upper Athea, Co. Limerick; Abigail Lynch, in her 20s, of Woodview Place, Tarbert; and Kane Hornyak, also in his 20s, of Doon Road, Ballybunion.

Each faces a single charge — set out in the book of evidence — that they murdered Gerard Kennelly in Knockanure on 27 May 2024, contrary to common law.
