Google News IE — Crime (en) reports that two men in their 20s have been charged with assault causing harm following an incident at an apartment complex in Clonskeagh, south Dublin, on Monday 6 July.

Hicham Djerbi and Achour Ingrachen, both aged 26 and sharing an address at 26 Friarsland Crescent, Roebuck Road, Clonskeagh, appeared before Dún Laoghaire District Court on Tuesday morning. Each faces two counts of assault causing harm to two men at the same address, under Section 3 of the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act, 1997.

Djerbi faces an additional charge of drug possession under Section 3 of the Misuse of Drugs Act, 1977.

The court heard that both men were taken to Blackrock Garda Station for questioning on 7 July before being formally charged. Garda Stephen Maguire gave evidence of arrest, charge and caution.

Solicitor Andrew Vallely represented both accused. There was no objection to bail. Judge Conor Fottrell granted bail on condition that the pair surrender their passports and sign on weekly at Dundrum Garda Station.

The case is listed to return before the court on 11 January 2027, when directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions are expected.

A third man in his 20s, also arrested in connection with the incident, has been charged separately and was due to appear before a court later the same day.
