Officers detained a man after discovering a handgun and cartridges during a dawn raid at a residence in Plowden, south Manchester.

The operation was carried out around 5:00 am on Sunday. Members of the force, guided by information received, went to a property in the community and conducted a search of the dwelling.

Inside, they reportedly uncovered a 9mm pistol together with 19 matching cartridges. The individual found on the property was then arrested and taken into custody, according to the Jamaica Observer.
