Spouse questioned after woman found dead at Hanover rental property
A woman believed to be a United States green card holder was found dead inside a rental home in the Bulls Bay area of Hanover parish, jamaicaobserver.com reports. Her spouse, believed to hold a US passport, is currently in police custody for questioning in connection with the death.
The couple, along with a young baby thought to be their child, had been staying at the rental property for approximately one year prior to the incident.
Assistant Commissioner Glenford Miller, head of the area one police division, confirmed the woman's killing but cautioned that it was too early to determine who was responsible. Her body was discovered in a room at the property.
Residents of the Bulls Bay area grew suspicious and alerted police after observing the man walking along the main road toward Lucea carrying the baby in the early hours before dawn, according to reports.
