MANCHESTER — Officers in the central Jamaica parish were called out on Friday after locals spotted a corpse in overgrowth beside Wint Road, in the vicinity of the Mandeville Infant School.
Initial accounts indicate that around eight in the morning, people walking in the area made the grim find and raised the alarm. A police team reached the spot roughly seventeen minutes later.
The remains were heavily decayed. Investigators believe the person was male. He was spotted lying prone beneath a metal covering, wearing a crimson top and dark shorts.
Officials have opened a probe to determine who the individual was and how he died.
