Thestkittsnevisobserver.com reports that officers of the Violent Crime Unit of the Royal St. Christopher Nevis Police Force are investigating an attempted murder in Halfway Tree, St. Kitts.

At approximately 8:40 PM on Thursday, June 19, 2025, Khaliq Hanley, 20, sustained gunshot wounds inside his own residence. Unknown assailant(s) entered the premises while Hanley was reading and opened fire. He was struck in his left forearm as he fled.

Hanley was first transported by private vehicle to Pogson Medical Centre, then transferred by ambulance to JNF Hospital, where he is currently warded in stable condition.

Officers processed the crime scene and collected several items of evidential value. Investigations remain ongoing.
