As detailed by SKNVibes, the initial attack unfolded in Newcastle, Nevis, in the vicinity of a local early-learning center. One male sustained injuries there and was subsequently moved to a hospital.

A second male was struck in the hand during another firearm discharge in Halfway Tree that same day.

Neither injured party was named by officials.

These latest events add to a worrying rise in gun-related violence across the twin-island nation. Since the start of the year, law enforcement has documented 15 incidents classified as shooting with intent—three on Nevis and 12 on the island of St. Kitts.
