Officers searched the home and vehicle of a 43-year-old George Town man, recovering suspected cocaine, ganja, a firearm and ammunition. He was arrested on multiple possession charges and remains in custody.

Officers from the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service carried out a search at the residence and vehicle of a 43-year-old man living in George Town on Wednesday, acting under the Firearms Act and the Misuse of Drugs Act. During the operation, law enforcement personnel found what they believe to be cocaine and marijuana, along with a gun and a supply of bullets. All of the items were confiscated and placed under police control for further examination.

The suspect was taken into custody on allegations of holding an unlicensed weapon, possessing ammunition, having cocaine, keeping ganja, and intending to distribute marijuana. He continues to be held by authorities while detectives look into the case.
