The wounds were not life-threatening, but both officers required medical attention at a hospital following the operation.

Law enforcement successfully located and detained 39-year-old Andy Myles, whom officials had previously called dangerous. He had been evading capture for over three weeks. The RCIPS expressed gratitude to the community for aiding in the apprehension of the fugitive.

Myles was one of multiple suspects that officers have been pursuing in connection with various offences. Two other individuals, Joseph Hurlston and Michael Gollab, are still wanted by police and have not yet been located, according to the same source.
