Two Royal Cayman Islands Police Service officers sustained injuries that were not life-threatening while taking a fugitive into custody on Friday, according to the Cayman News Service.

The officers needed hospital treatment following the operation to apprehend Andy Myles, aged 39, whom authorities had labelled dangerous. He is now being held by police. Officials did not release further information regarding the circumstances or location of the arrest.

The RCIPS expressed gratitude to members of the public for helping to locate Myles after he had evaded capture for more than three weeks. Police noted that he was among multiple suspects they have been pursuing in connection with different crimes.

Two other men, Joseph Hurlston and Michael Gollab, are still at large, the outlet reported.
