A fatal knife attack in Micoud on the night of April 30 has resulted in murder charges against a 35-year-old man.

The victim, 44-year-old Lensley Samuel, who went by the nickname "Cizo," resided in Dugard, Micoud. According to a report by The Voice St. Lucia News, officers from the Micoud Police Station were dispatched to Duke Street shortly after 9:20 p.m. following reports of a disturbance.

Upon reaching the location, law enforcement officers found two men fighting. Samuel had sustained knife injuries to his upper body and midsection. First responders provided urgent care at the scene before rushing him to St. Jude Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Jeremy Bicar, aged 35, was apprehended on the day of the attack. A medical examination carried out on May 5 established that the cause of death was chest wounds inflicted by a blade.

Bicar was officially accused of murder later that same day. During his court appearance at the Second District Court on May 6, he was ordered held at the Bordelais Correctional Facility.
