Security forces recovered bullets and cannabis after searching five homes in several Port of Spain neighbourhoods during a two-day sweep.

The Port of Spain Division ran the exercise from March 14 through March 15. Targeted locations included St. Barbs, Rodget Place, St. Ann's, Hutton Street, Aripita Road and Rock City.

Personnel entered five houses and discovered five rounds of 5.56 ammunition plus 210 grammes of cannabis. At the time the matter was made public, no one had been taken into custody.

The division portrayed the sweep as one of several continuing initiatives within its districts. The national police force said intelligence-driven operations remain central to its approach against unlawful conduct.

Officials pledged that comparable activities will keep running in neighbourhoods as they seek to recover prohibited items and deal with breaches.
