Two Brothers Charged in Port of Spain Nightclub Murder
Two siblings from Diego Martin appeared virtually before a Port of Spain magistrate on Thursday, facing charges in connection with the fatal shooting of a young man outside a city nightclub.
Nicolai Fredericks, 27, and Joshua Fredericks, 23, both residents of Blue Basin, were charged with the murder of Mickey Solozano, 26, of Port of Spain. The pair appeared before Magistrate Maureen Baboolal-Gafoor in the Port of Spain Magistrates' Court. The case has been adjourned until June 1st.
Solozano was in the area of a Port of Spain nightclub shortly before midnight on March 21st when he became involved in a confrontation with three attackers. During the altercation, he was struck by several gunshots and died at the scene. The trio of suspects then fled.
Officers from the Homicide Bureau of Investigations, Region One, apprehended two male suspects in connection with the incident on Wednesday, April 26.
