A 41-year-old man from South Oropouche was arrested at the Port of Spain ferry terminal after disembarking from the Galleons Passage, in connection with the stabbing death of a woman in Mt St George, Tobago.

Trinidadian Man Arrested in Connection with Tobago Murder

A man from Trinidad has been taken into custody following the fatal stabbing of a woman at her residence in Mt St George, Tobago. Officers detained the 41-year-old suspect at approximately 2:15 pm after he stepped off the Galleons Passage at the Port of Spain ferry terminal, according to the Trinidad Guardian.

The deceased was identified as Neisha Roberts, an employee of the Tobago House of Assembly's Main Secretariat. A family member discovered her body in the bathroom of her home around 7:00 am. A District Medical Officer arrived at the scene and officially pronounced her dead at about 9:45 am.

Law enforcement officials suspect that the man travelled from Tobago to Trinidad after committing the crime. The killing marks the seventh homicide recorded in Tobago for 2026. Police inquiries into the matter remain active.
