Two cousins killed in late-night shooting at Port of Spain residence

Newsday.co.tt reports that two cousins were shot dead at their Lodge Street home in Port of Spain on Tuesday night.

Rashidi Haynes, 32, and Bryan St Louis, 44, were at the residence at approximately 11.30 pm when gunmen opened fire on them multiple times, according to police.

A relative in another room heard the shots, discovered both men wounded and bleeding, and alerted authorities. Members of the Port of Spain Task Force and CID arrived at the scene alongside a district medical officer, who pronounced both men dead.

Crime scene investigators recovered a number of spent shells, among them several shotgun shells. The Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region 1 has taken over enquiries.
