A police dog played a key role in the arrest of a man who fled from officers into a cemetery in East Cowes, bbc.com reports.

Echo, deployed alongside Sgt Charlie Winchester, picked up a scent immediately upon arriving at the cemetery and led officers to Carl Isham, 41, of St Edmunds Walk, Wootton Bridge, Ryde.

Isham pleaded guilty to assault by beating and harassment without violence at Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court on 16 April. He was handed a 13-week prison sentence, suspended for 16 months, and issued a restraining order. He was also ordered to complete 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days and pay £554 in costs and surcharge.
