Two men jailed after Peterborough drug bust

Two men have been sentenced to prison after officers on patrol caught them dealing drugs in Peterborough, bbc.com reports.

Torgalai Estoman, 29, was stopped near his home on Bourges Boulevard in the Millfield area at around 11:20 BST on 7 October. A search of his flat uncovered large quantities of class A and B drugs, paraphernalia, and cash. A second man, Gulzaman Safizada, 25, of South Parade in West Town, Cambridgeshire, was found at the address, according to Cambridgeshire Police.

Both men admitted possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, cannabis, and heroin at Peterborough Crown Court. Estoman was jailed for 30 months; Safizada received a 26-month sentence.

Detective Constable John Pentney said the arrest stemmed from attentive neighbourhood policing. "This was a great spot from our neighbourhood officers who saw the drug deal in progress while responding to concerns raised to them," he said.

Pentney added that drug dealing "can have a significant impact on the community" and urged anyone with information to contact police.
