West Yorkshire Police's Operation Phoenix County Lines Taskforce charged six people following a series of dawn raids across Calderdale and Bradford, bbc.com reports.

Officers searched properties on Mayfield Terrace, Mayfield Terrace South, Gibbet Street and Eldroth Road in Halifax on Thursday morning. Two further properties — on Queens Court in Queensbury and Staybrite Avenue in Bingley — were also searched.

Five men and one woman, all aged between 24 and 28, were arrested and subsequently charged, a force spokesperson confirmed.

All six were due to appear before Bradford Magistrates' Court on Friday.
