Bradley Parsons, caught on social media video performing dangerous drifts and "donuts" at an unauthorised car meet, has been handed a 12-month suspended prison sentence and banned from driving for two years, basingstokegazette.co.uk reports.

Parsons admitted two counts of dangerous driving linked to incidents on 25 and 26 October last year. The first took place on Arkwright Road, Reading, where footage showed his green BMW drifting at speed and circling a pedestrian standing in the road, with large crowds watching nearby.

Police Sergeant James Hall said: "On both occasions his driving was deliberate, reckless, and intended to show off to spectators. The video of him crashing clearly shows that he lost control of the car, which is easily done when attempting to drive in such a dangerous manner."

Hall added: "This was a busy junction with pedestrians and other motorists and quite frankly, he is lucky that nobody – including himself – was seriously injured or worse."

The following day, Parsons was involved in a second incident at the junction of the A272 and A32 in West Meon. He was seen accelerating hard from traffic lights, causing violent wheel spin and attempting to drift before losing control while turning onto the A272.

Parsons was sentenced at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on 11 May. In addition to the suspended sentence and driving ban, he must complete an extended retest before returning to the road legally. He was also ordered to pay £357 in costs and a surcharge, and must carry out 200 hours of unpaid work.
