Officers were called to the scene at around 9pm after receiving reports of a car striking three pedestrians. The man was detained on suspicion of dangerous driving, according to Nottinghamshire Police.
In an update issued at 10pm, a police spokesperson said several roads had been closed as a result of the incident. "Linby Lane is currently shut between Moor Road and Wighay Road and is expected to remain closed for some time," the spokesperson said, advising motorists to avoid the area and seek an alternative route.
