A man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after a car struck three pedestrians on Linby Lane near Hucknall on Friday night.

Three people were taken to hospital after a car struck three pedestrians on Linby Lane, near Hucknall, Nottinghamshire, at around 9pm on Friday evening (6 June), nottinghamshire.police.uk reports.

Officers were called to the scene following reports of a serious collision involving a car and three pedestrians. A man has since been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.

In an update issued at 10pm, a police spokesperson confirmed that a number of roads had been closed as a result of the incident. "Linby Lane is currently shut between Moor Road and Wighay Road and is expected to remain closed for some time," the spokesperson said, adding that motorists should avoid the area and seek an alternative route.
