Aylesbury man jailed five years for cocaine supply and taser possession

A 24-year-old man from Aylesbury has been sentenced to five years in prison after being convicted of drug supply, possession of a prohibited weapon, and involvement in criminal property, hellorayo.co.uk reports.

Usif Mohammed, of Culpepper Close, Aylesbury, was found guilty on all charges by a unanimous jury at Aylesbury Crown Court on 25 November. The charges included possession with intent to supply cocaine, possession of cannabis, possession of a taser, and acquisition, use, and possession of criminal property.

Thames Valley Police detained and arrested Mohammed on 5 March at around 11.25pm, after identifying him as a suspected cocaine supplier. A search of his family home uncovered a taser, cocaine with an estimated street value of £2,530, and £1,535.50 in cash. He was charged and remanded on the same day.

Despite pleading not guilty, Mohammed was convicted unanimously by the jury.

Investigating officer PC Jacob Burridge said: "Mohammed was supplying both class A and class B drugs within Aylesbury to some of the community's most vulnerable people. The involvement of Mohammed in these offences showed no regard to the impact on the wider community and he will have time to reflect on his behaviour and the impact it has on others."

Burridge added: "As a result of this investigation, we have taken thousands of pounds-worth of drugs off the street as well as prohibited weapons. Thames Valley Police will continue to work proactively to disrupt drug supply networks, and information from the public plays a vital role in helping us do so."
