Police discovered the victim at the address and he was transported by air ambulance to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle. He died three days after being found.
Six people were initially arrested on suspicion of offences including murder. On Thursday, detectives detained a seventh individual on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. All seven have since been released on bail while the investigation continues.
Cumbria Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses or anyone with information relating to the man's death to come forward.
