Seventh person arrested in Carlisle murder inquiry after man dies from head injury

A seventh person has been arrested in connection with the suspected murder of a man found injured at a property in Carlisle. All seven have been released on bail.

Ca.news.yahoo.com reports that a seventh person has been arrested in connection with the suspected murder of a man who died after being found with a serious head injury at a property on Whinsmoor Drive in Carlisle.

Police discovered the victim at the address and he was transported by air ambulance to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle. He died three days after being found.

Six people were initially arrested on suspicion of offences including murder. On Thursday, detectives detained a seventh individual on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. All seven have since been released on bail while the investigation continues.

Cumbria Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses or anyone with information relating to the man's death to come forward.
