A 17-year-old boy has been charged with attempted robbery after a motorbike was targeted outside Four Acre Shopping Centre in St Helens.

A 17-year-old boy from St Helens has been charged with attempted robbery following an incident outside Four Acre Shopping Centre in Clock Face, sthelensstar.co.uk reports.

Merseyside Police were called at around 2pm on Wednesday, 27 May to reports of an attempted theft of a motorbike. An arrest was subsequently made.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has also been charged with making threats to damage or destroy property. He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Liverpool Youth Court on Thursday, 23 July.
