Three arrested after shooting outside Sheffield city centre bar

South Yorkshire Police have arrested two men and a woman following a shooting outside the One Four One bar on West Street in Sheffield. Several roads remain closed as detectives investigate.

Two men and a woman have been arrested after a shooting outside a bar in Sheffield city centre in the early hours of Monday morning, BBC News reports.

South Yorkshire Police said officers were called to reports of a shooting outside the One Four One bar on West Street at approximately 02:45 BST. All three individuals remained in custody for questioning as of Monday.

Police have not confirmed whether anyone was injured in the incident.

West Street has been closed between Mappin Street and Westfield Terrace while detectives work at the scene. Eldon Street, Westhill Lane and part of Orange Street have also been shut, with police urging drivers to avoid the area.

"We know this incident will cause concern amongst our local communities and we will provide further updates as soon as we are able to," South Yorkshire Police said in a statement.

Public transport in the city centre has also been affected. Supertram services are unable to run between Cathedral and Middlewood or Malin Bridge until further notice. "Tickets acceptance has been agreed with both First and Stagecoach through the disrupted area," Supertram said in a post on X.
