Two arrested after violent disturbance outside Maidstone bar on Upper Stone Street

Four people were attacked outside a Maidstone bar in the early hours after a man and woman were refused entry. Two suspects, aged 34 and 29, are in custody.

Two people have been arrested following what bbc.com reports as "a serious disturbance" outside a bar on Upper Stone Street in Maidstone, Kent.

Officers were called to the scene shortly before 02:50 BST, where four people reported being attacked after a man and a woman were denied entry to the premises.

Two men in their 30s sustained injuries — one a serious ankle injury, the other a head injury, according to police.

A 34-year-old man was arrested in Campbell Road following a search. A 29-year-old woman was detained shortly afterwards. Both were taken into custody.

Kent Police are appealing for anyone with information, or dashcam and CCTV footage, to come forward via police or Crimestoppers.
