The rape-accused influencer Andrew Tate has travelled to Moscow whilst Britain awaits extradition proceedings against him for rape and human trafficking. According to Politiken, upon a video shared by Tate himself on social media platform X, he and his younger brother Tristan arrived in the arrivals hall at Moscow airport. There, Russian women dressed in traditional folk costumes awaited them, offering them bread and singing a nationalist hymn – a traditional welcome ceremony.

The visit has sparked anger in several quarters – also in Russia itself, according to Politiken.

Andrew Tate openly describes himself as a misogynist and has a significant following on social media. He and Tristan Tate have for years been under legal pressure in connection with accusations of rape and human trafficking. Britain seeks his extradition for the purposes of prosecution.
