A teenager who disappeared at the age of 11 has been discovered alive in the United States, three years after he went missing from Rio Rancho, New Mexico. The case, which had drawn in federal agencies during an extensive but fruitless search, took a sharp turn on July 1, 2026, when authorities informed the father that his son had been located.

According to reporting by Philenews, the boy had vanished in 2023 amid a legal fight between his parents over guardianship. Despite wide-ranging efforts by American law enforcement, no trace of the child emerged until his mother returned to the US from Mexico.
