Three patrons suffered bullet wounds during an outbreak of violence in Deep Ellum on Sunday just after midnight. NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth indicates that patrol units rushed to the 2900 block of Elm Street at about 1:02 a.m. amid reports of shots fired.

Investigators believe a lone attacker opened fire on the trio. Emergency responders from the Dallas fire and ambulance service carried the injured to a medical facility, where each is listed as stable.

Law enforcement officials later apprehended Demond Hardy, aged 23. Prosecutors have accused him of several aggravated assault violations involving a firearm, classified as a top-tier felony. The case remains under investigation.
