Amarillo police have charged two people with murder following a fatal shooting on South Tyler Street on 25 May. Victim Jeremy Ray died in hospital four days later.

Amarillo police have arrested two people in connection with the fatal shooting of Jeremy Ray at a house on South Tyler Street, newschannel10.com reports.

The shooting occurred on 25 May. Ray was transported to hospital with injuries and died on 29 May as a result of those wounds.

Homicide investigators with the Amarillo Police Department subsequently obtained two murder warrants. Officials identified the suspects as 43-year-old Meghan Dawn Kern and 18-year-old Jaylyn Andrew Johnson, both now facing a murder charge.

Johnson was arrested and booked into the Randall County Jail. Kern was already in custody at the Potter County Jail on unrelated charges at the time the warrant was issued.
