Before the England national football team arrived at their World Cup base in Kansas City, unknown individuals broke into a transport vehicle and stole sports equipment, including footballs and football boots. The incident was reported by Delo.

The English Football Association confirmed the incident but declined to provide details as the investigation is ongoing. The Kansas City Police Department in the US state of Missouri told the Daily Mail that they are investigating a possible theft from a vehicle that arrived in Kansas City today with several items missing. According to the BBC, two people have been arrested in connection with the incident.

The affected vehicle was on its way to the Swope Soccer Village training center. The England squad, managed by Thomas Tuchel, was expected to hold their first training session there. England's opening World Cup match is scheduled for Wednesday in Dallas against Croatia. Later, the team will also face Ghana and Panama in Group L.
