A 20-year-old individual transferred from North Carolina is now in custody without bail following accusations tied to a deadly gunfire incident from late June.

Raimon St. John Campbell Jr. was located and detained at an aquatic recreation facility in Boone, North Carolina, according to detention records. He was subsequently moved across state boundaries to Greenville County, where court officials declined to set bail during proceedings held Tuesday evening.

The case centers on the killing of Jordan Elijah Rouse, aged 21, who was found on a street on June 26 following reports of shots fired. First responders arriving at the location determined Rouse had already succumbed to his injuries.

Authorities had previously taken two other people into custody in connection with the same matter. All defendants remain confined at the Greenville County Detention Center as their cases move through the judicial system.
