A 36-year-old man with a prior felony conviction was detained in Cape Coral, Florida, during an undercover narcotics operation after officers found him armed with a pistol and carrying fentanyl, cocaine, and other illicit substances.

Johnny Glover, born in September 1989, was apprehended on June 24, 2026, in the parking area of a convenience store at 819 SE 26th Street. He had travelled to the location using a ride-hailing service and offered no resistance when taken into custody as he neared the agreed-upon rendezvous point.

Members of the local police force's drug unit had been building a case against Glover based on earlier narcotics sales. During the sting, a search revealed he was carrying a handgun, a pink electroshock weapon, and a backpack filled with various controlled substances including fentanyl and cocaine.

The probe also tied Glover to previous drug exchanges with Alex Saff, born in April 2002, who is already behind bars on separate matters. Saff was later formally charged in connection with this inquiry.

Because of his criminal record, Glover was prohibited from owning any gun or electroshock device. He was booked into the county detention centre and is accused of several offences, among them methamphetamine distribution linked to an earlier case.
