Google News MT — Crime (en) reports that a woman wanted on kidnapping-related warrants out of Maryland was arrested in Hart County, Georgia, on Monday night after deputies responded to a Be On The Lookout alert.

The Hart County Sheriff's Office said deputies received the alert at around 8:46 p.m. for a northbound vehicle on Interstate 85. The driver, identified as Alicia Denise Brown, 37, of Atlanta, was spotted near Exit 177. A traffic stop was conducted with assistance from the Georgia State Patrol, and Brown was taken into custody without incident.

Two young children were found inside the vehicle and safely removed. Neither child was injured, deputies said.

Authorities confirmed that Brown was wanted by the Baltimore County Police Department on warrants connected to the disappearance of a 10-year-old child reported missing in 2019. She was additionally wanted by the Fulton County Sheriff's Office on a felony charge of interference with child custody.

Both jurisdictions confirmed the outstanding warrants were valid. Brown is set to be extradited to Maryland.
