David Vander Meer is said to have caused his partner's fatal fall at Angels Landing, a dramatic overlook inside the Utah preserve. Following her demise, he allegedly pocketed a sizeable payout from her policy. Investigators contend he channeled those proceeds into an opulent existence. During that same timeframe, he is also accused of arranging gatherings where minors from his congregation consumed alcohol.
