An 18-year-old Galliano man was arrested on Tuesday night after allegedly stabbing two female relatives in the neck at a residence on North 2nd Street in Golden Meadow, Louisiana, fox8live.com reports.

Airron Billiot was taken into custody after deputies from the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office and Golden Meadow police officers responded to the domestic incident at approximately 10:20 p.m. Officers found Billiot armed with a knife and actively attacking family members. He surrendered upon their arrival.

Two women — one in her 60s and one in her 30s — sustained knife wounds to the neck. Both were transported to hospital for treatment.

According to investigators, Billiot had been involved in a disturbance with family members throughout the day. At one point, he threatened to kill everyone in the house before arming himself with a knife and striking each of the women in the neck, authorities said.

During questioning, Billiot admitted to his involvement in the incident.

He was booked on two counts of attempted second-degree murder and held at the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex in Thibodaux. Bail has been set at $500,000.
