Two men held without bond after infant killed in Mississippi drive-by

Two men have been charged with murder following the drive-by shooting death of a 9-month-old baby boy in Grenada, Mississippi, CBS News reports.

Grenada Assistant Police Chief George Douglas said multiple shots were fired from a passing vehicle around 1:40 p.m. on Tuesday, with at least one round entering a home and striking infant Rashan Riley in the head.

"The shooting took place on the outside of the house, and to my knowledge of the preliminary investigation, no one inside the house was connected to that confrontation," Douglas said.

Officers later stopped a car matching the description of a vehicle seen near the scene. Shaquille Chamberlain, 18, and John Brown III, 20, were taken into custody the same evening.

Both men face murder charges and are being held at Grenada County Jail. No bond has been set.
