A young man aged 22 from Grenada County has been placed under arrest and charged with first-degree murder following a deadly gunfire incident that occurred last Thursday in the Ligon Estates neighbourhood, Darkhorse Press reports.

Tyjuan M. Jones was captured peacefully and now faces accusations of both first-degree murder and aggravated assault. The deceased was named as Marston D. Jones, 48, likewise of Grenada. The violence unfolded on 27 March along Minga Road.

The accused currently occupies a cell at the Grenada County Jail. Authorities have not made public whether any familial or other connection linked the two individuals.
