Officers with the Honolulu Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 4:53 a.m. The incident took place close to where Keeaumoku Street and Kapiolani Boulevard meet, in the vicinity of the Ala Moana neighborhood.
Paramedics with Honolulu Emergency Medical Services arrived and provided treatment to a 23-year-old male who had sustained a gunshot wound. Crews rushed him to a hospital in critical condition.
