Gregušová disclosed that the abuse was not an isolated incident. In a video posted to social media, she stated the attacks occurred repeatedly over an extended period, using language that suggested dozens of instances. She emphasized that she had been forced to conceal the reality of her situation, even from her own family, maintaining a facade of an idyllic relationship while privately enduring what she described as terror.
The couple's relationship initially appeared picture-perfect to the public. After announcing their engagement, Gregušová relocated abroad to be with Cimarro, known for his role in the telenovela Hidden Passion. They married shortly before welcoming their daughter, Brianka, in 2022. For years, the model shared glamorous photos from around the world on social media, presenting a life of luxury alongside her famous husband.
Behind closed doors, however, the situation was starkly different. Gregušová's sister, Lucia, recounted a disturbing discovery she made while the couple was renting an apartment during Cimarro's participation in the dance competition show Let's Dance. Lucia, who had keys to the residence, arrived to find clumps of hair scattered across the floor — evidence that Cimarro had allegedly pulled his wife by the hair and dragged her across the ground. Lucia stated that she had been instructed to take the passports of both her sister and niece to prevent them from leaving for the United States, though she ultimately did not follow through.
The abuse, according to Gregušová, stemmed in part from her husband's jealousy and arrogance. Despite the severity of the situation, she hesitated to contact authorities for months, weighing the potential consequences. She eventually called the sheriff's office on June 26, 2025, a decision she said she had been contemplating since late 2024.
Gregušová explained that she chose to report the abuse during a period when the violence was not at its most extreme, which is why the charges against Cimarro may not reflect the highest degree of severity. This pattern, she noted, is common among survivors of domestic violence, who often reach their breaking point during less severe incidents rather than at the peak of abuse.
Legal proceedings are now active on multiple fronts. The couple is undergoing divorce proceedings, and a separate criminal case has been opened against Cimarro. He is scheduled to appear in court in early August to answer charges of domestic violence against his wife.
In June 2025, Gregušová and her daughter successfully relocated to Bratislava, Slovakia, where they have established permanent residency. The model expressed profound relief at returning home after months of uncertainty, revealing that for nearly a year, she had not known from week to week whether she would be able to leave the United States with her child.
