Shooting at Sem Yeto High School Graduation Kills 18-Year-Old
The victim of a mass shooting at a Bay Area high school graduation has been identified as 18-year-old Jamario Baker, the Fairfield Police Department announced. NY Post Metro reports that Baker died at the scene following Wednesday night's shooting at Fairfield High School's Schafer Stadium, where Sem Yeto High School was holding its commencement ceremony.
Three additional people were injured in the attack, among them an 11-year-old child. No suspects have been taken into custody, and the investigation remains active.
"Our thoughts and condolences are with his family, friends, and all those affected during this difficult time," the Fairfield Police Department said in a statement.
Detectives are pursuing all available leads, police added. "We are committed to bringing those responsible for this senseless act of violence to justice," the department stated.
