American former alpine ski racer Bode Miller, 48, has been arrested on drug-related charges. Two counts were filed against him in connection with an incident that took place on June 6.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ Sports, prosecutors charged Miller with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He posted a $5,000 cash bond and was subsequently released.

Miller has pleaded not guilty to both charges. He is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on July 29.

During his successful career, Miller won a total of six Olympic medals, including gold at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. He retired from professional skiing in 2017. In Finland, he was widely known as the longtime rival of former Finnish alpine skiing star Kalle Palander, with the two frequently competing against each other in giant slalom and slalom events.
