Madison SWAT operation on Watts Road leads to shooting suspect's arrest

The Madison Police Department's Special Weapons and Tactics team arrested an 18-year-old man from Beaver Dam following a search warrant executed at an apartment in the 9500 block of Watts Road on Thursday afternoon, wmtv15news.com reports.

Beaver Dam Police confirmed the suspect is connected to a shooting that took place in Beaver Dam on Saturday. He now faces charges of attempted first-degree intentional homicide and felony bail jumping, and has been transferred to Dodge County Jail.

Officers carried out the warrant just after 4 p.m. Madison Police noted that residents nearby may have heard a loud boom and observed a significant police presence in the area. Officers went door-to-door to inform neighbours of the situation as it unfolded.
