The incident began at approximately 8:45 a.m. on the 1200 block of West Sunset Drive, according to Cpl. Don Lisi, spokesperson for the local police department. Officers had arrived at the location to execute a warrant on an individual.

Rather than comply, the person fortified himself inside the dwelling. The department's special weapons and tactics unit was called to the scene to manage the situation.

Several hours later, authorities successfully apprehended the suspect without further incident. The precise time of the arrest was not immediately available.
