Law enforcement has taken a man into custody following a lethal shooting incident that unfolded in Livingston, California, during the spring, according to ABC30.
Andres Madrigal Jr. now sits in Merced County jail, held on suspicion of homicide.
The fatal encounter happened in April when police in Livingston answered calls about shots fired near Alameda Court, in the vicinity of F Street. Arriving at the scene, officers encountered a person who had been struck by bullets multiple times. The individual did not survive.
Even with Madrigal Jr. in detention, investigators say their work is not finished. They are still encouraging members of the public who might possess useful knowledge about what happened to reach out to the department.
