Authorities have detained an individual following a late-night gun attack near two popular venues on Bardstown Road that injured a man in his twenties, according to WAVE News.

The gunfire erupted shortly before 4:00 a.m. on June 21 in the 1100 block of the busy commercial strip, outside establishments known locally as Atomic and The Hub. A male in his late twenties suffered a lower limb injury from a bullet and was taken to receive medical attention.

On June 29, the Louisville Metro Police Department identified the apprehended suspect as DaJohn Roberts. Prosecutors have filed charges of attempted homicide, creating substantial risk of harm to others, and interfering with evidentiary materials.

The location had already seen violence earlier that same morning. Roughly sixty minutes prior, law enforcement had responded to another report of shots fired just one block away on the same thoroughfare.
