Georgetown County man faces attempted murder charge after street shooting

Michael Shaine Lavar Dobey-Anderson has been charged with attempted murder following a shooting at the intersection of Merriman and Butts Streets in Georgetown, South Carolina, live5news.com reports.

Officers from the Georgetown Police Department responded to the scene and found two people with injuries. Both victims were transported to a nearby hospital and are expected to survive.

In addition to the attempted murder charge, Dobey-Anderson faces two counts of possessing a weapon during a violent crime and one count of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature. He has been booked into the Georgetown County Detention Center.
