A man was arrested in Boulder County on Saturday afternoon, more than two hours after he allegedly stabbed both of his parents at a residence in Arvada, cbsnews.com reports.
The attack occurred around 12:10 p.m. near 8500 Union Circle, according to the Arvada Police Department. Officers responded to the scene and found two victims, who were transported to a local hospital. Both are listed in stable condition and are expected to recover.
The suspect, identified as the victims' adult son, was located near Highway 128 west of McCaslin Boulevard later that afternoon. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office and the Boulder County Sheriff's Office assisted in taking him into custody at approximately 2:35 p.m. APD confirmed the arrest was made without incident.
The investigation remains ongoing. Authorities have not released information on what led to the attack, and no charges have been formally announced.
