Fashion Model Pleads Not Guilty in $1M SoHo Boutique Heist, Arrives in $6K Designer Outfit

Abdallah Diaby, a 21-year-old fashion model from the Bronx, appeared at Manhattan Supreme Court on Tuesday wearing close to $6,000 in designer clothing to plead not guilty to charges stemming from a $1 million heist at a high-end SoHo boutique, NY Post Metro reports.

Diaby arrived at his arraignment draped in multiple John Varvatos necklaces that a store representative said retail for a combined $3,174, along with $775 Saint Laurent high-top sneakers, $1,500 yellow Balmain biker jeans, and a green plaid Lacoste dress shirt. He pleaded not guilty to criminal possession of stolen property and related charges.

Manhattan prosecutors said Diaby was arrested on February 19 after security footage connected him to a four-person break-in at the 4Gseller designer boutique on Spring Street in the early morning hours of December 1, 2025. The three other suspects remain at large.

According to prosecutors, the group arrived at the SoHo shop in a silver Ford SUV, dressed in construction vests and dark clothing. They scaled scaffolding using a ladder to gain entry to the store, and the entire incident was captured on the establishment's security cameras.

"Kind of like the movies, to be honest," said 4Gseller owner Tommy Macari. "They were just dropping them off the balcony and someone was running it to the car."

Police say the crew made off with 20 St. Laurent jackets, 30 designer handbags, and additional high-end merchandise — totaling roughly $1 million in stolen goods. Macari noted that many of the taken items were one-of-a-kind custom pieces.

Diaby is represented by TWO MGMT, a New York-based modeling agency. He has recently appeared in campaigns for a Sinclair Global and Puma collaboration, as well as for StockX.

He was also notably well-dressed at his first court appearance following his February arrest. Under New York state law, Diaby has been granted supervised release without bail, as the non-violent charges he faces do not qualify for pretrial detention.
